Group work is essential in software development and life

Is almost my second month at Pernix and day after day I face harder challenges. The most important thing that I learned from this 2 months is that without groupwork is impossible to succeed in the completing of project tasks and also in life. Even if now I know much more than when I started at Pernix, is impossible to know every detail of the software industry, so asking for help is essential to become efficient and grow professionally. Without the help of my teammates, learning would be much slower and the quality of the software that I develop could suffer from that.
These last 2 weeks a new member joined my team, but even if he is new, he has helped me in many ways because of his knowledge and experience. In this last week we started to develop our first feature since we are on Pernix and has been a challenge because we have never done something like that. The experience that my teammate has on the programming language that we are using for development has been important because we solved some issues by him.
Also, my new teammate in this short time has learned many things about how this project works because I explained him many elements of it and what are our goals in short and long time. That is essential because in the future we will have to work on some stories from our own so he and I have to help each other to learn faster and become more effective. The teamwork, we had definitely helped us to learn a lot more and to work faster than what would have been without teamwork.
How the older team members of the project helped us has been essential to understand many things of the Proyect. They are the ones who make the core of the project so they helped us a lot with any issue we had or something that we don’t know how to do, so we don’t get stuck in the Proyect. Every time our teammates help us, we get to understand a lot more and we can work faster every time in other features that we have to do. As our teammates helped us, we also learned the importance to do teamwork with future members, they will need help to become better professionals.
People on Pernix also helped me how to learn from mistakes and to keep moving forward. Many things didn’t go as I expected this week, but my mentor and boss gave many advices to do things better next time and not to feel bad by mistakes I made. I can't say that would be the last time that I would make a mistake, but I'm sure I will learn from every mistake I make, to do it better and better every next time because every day there are new opportunities in everything.
I learned at Pernix that group work is one of the most important tools we have as professionals and individuals. That tool helped me to grow in every aspect of me and is essential to continue growing. Many difficult problems will come, but with groupwork me and my teammates can solve any of them and we can become more efficient with every new experience.
